Our Take

Ah, the boys from Manchester are back at it again with their album "Pleased to Meet You." James have always been known for their catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics, and this album is no exception.

From the opening track "Space" to the dreamy "Getting Away With It (All Messed Up)", James take listeners on a musical journey that is both nostalgic and fresh. The band's signature sound is present throughout, with Tim Booth's distinctive vocals soaring over lush instrumentation.

The standout track has to be "Just Like Fred Astaire", a bouncy number that will have you dancing the night away. The use of horns and strings adds a touch of sophistication to the song, giving it an extra layer of depth.

However, not every track on the album hits the mark. "Fine" feels a bit lacklustre compared to the other songs, and "Hello" seems to drag on a bit too long. But overall, "Pleased to Meet You" is a solid addition to James' discography.

Whether you're a longtime James fan or a newcomer to their music, this album is sure to please. So sit back, grab a cup of tea, and let the music take you away - you won't be disappointed. Cheers, lads!
