Our Take
Our Take
Norwegian garage rockers Death By Unga Bunga are back with their latest offering, "Pineapple Pizza." And much like the controversial dish it's named after, this album is a bold and unconventional mix of flavors that somehow just works.
From the opening track "Pizza Party" to the closing notes of "Pineapple Express," Death By Unga Bunga take us on a wild ride through their signature blend of catchy hooks, frenetic guitar riffs, and infectious energy. It's like a party in your ears, and everyone's invited.
The band doesn't take themselves too seriously, as evidenced by tracks like "Hot and Cold" and "Cheese Dreams," which showcase their playful and irreverent sense of humor. But don't let the silly song titles fool you - these guys are serious musicians with serious chops.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "Ananas," a homage to the divisive fruit that pairs surprisingly well with ham on a pizza. The song is a perfect encapsulation of Death By Unga Bunga's ability to take seemingly disparate elements and turn them into something deliciously satisfying.
Overall, "Pineapple Pizza" is a fun and feisty offering from a band that knows how to rock out with a wink and a nod. So grab a slice, crank up the volume, and prepare to be pleasantly surprised by this tasty musical treat. Cheers to Death By Unga Bunga for serving up a slice of sonic delight.

About the artist
Death By Unga Bunga
Hailing from Norway, DEATH BY UNGA BUNGA is the kind of band that makes you want to jump, dance, and scream all at once. With their catchy hooks, irreverent lyrics, and unapologetically energetic stage presence, this group knows how to put on a show that will leave you buzzing long after the last chord has faded. Since bursting onto the scene in 2007, DEATH BY UNGA BUNGA has built a reputation for their infectious blend of punk rock, garage, and power pop. Each member brings their own unique flair to the group, creating a dynamic sound that is both nostalgic and fresh. Their latest album, "Heavy Male Insecurity," is a raucous ride through themes of masculinity, self-doubt, and the pressures of modern life. Tracks like "Not Like the Others" and "My Buddy and Me" showcase the band's ability to marry introspective lyrics with high-octane riffs, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with in the indie music scene. With a name as memorable as their music, DEATH BY UNGA BUNGA is not your average band. They are unapologetically themselves, and that authenticity shines through in every note they play. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a casual listener, one thing is for sure: DEATH BY UNGA BUNGA is a band you won't soon forget.
