As I popped in my monocle and settled in to listen to BBC Orchestras / Hanslip / Shelley / Bate's latest release, Peter Dickinson: Three Concertos & Merseyside Echoes, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the combination of classical music with a dash of British quirkiness.
