Our Take

Montrose's Paper Money is a wild ride through the land of 70s rock, complete with soaring guitar solos, pounding drums, and enough swagger to make Mick Jagger jealous. From the opening track "Under the Lights" to the closing notes of "We're Going Home," this album never lets up, delivering high-energy rock anthems with a hefty dose of attitude.

Lead singer Sammy Hagar's vocals are as powerful as ever, effortlessly gliding over the distorted guitars and thunderous bass lines. The band's tight musicianship is on full display, with each member showcasing their chops on every track.

Tracks like "Connection" and "Paper Money" are perfect examples of Montrose's ability to blend catchy hooks with blistering guitar work, creating a sound that is equal parts infectious and aggressive. The production on the album is top-notch, with every instrument and vocal perfectly balanced to create a full, rich sound that fills the room.

While Paper Money may not reinvent the wheel in terms of rock music, it is a solid addition to Montrose's discography and a must-listen for fans of classic rock. So crank up the volume, grab a cold beer, and let Montrose take you on a high-octane musical journey that will leave you wanting more. Cheers to these rock legends for delivering the goods once again.

About the artist

Montrose

MONTROSE: The Eccentric Enigma of the Indie Scene With a sound as enigmatic as his signature sunglasses, MONTROSE has been captivating audiences across the globe with his genre-bending blend of electro-pop and psychedelic rock. Hailing from the obscure town of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch in Wales, this mysterious musician has been a breath of fresh air in an industry saturated with cookie-cutter pop stars. MONTROSE burst onto the scene with his debut album "Jellyfish Dreams" in 2017, earning critical acclaim for his ethereal vocals and innovative production techniques. Drawing inspiration from the likes of David Bowie, Björk, and Kate Bush, he has managed to carve out a unique niche for himself in the ever-evolving music landscape. Known for his eccentric fashion sense and larger-than-life stage presence, MONTROSE is a true force to be reckoned with. Whether he's serenading crowds with his haunting ballads or getting them on their feet with his infectious beats, there's never a dull moment when he's in the spotlight. But behind the glittering facade lies a deeply introspective artist, constantly pushing the boundaries of his creativity and challenging conventional notions of what pop music can be. With his upcoming album "Neon Dreams" set to be released later this year, MONTROSE shows no signs of slowing down. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for this rising star – you won't want to miss out on what he has in store next.
