Album: Various Artists - Owenin What in the bloomin' 'ell is going on here? Owenin, the latest compilation album from a mishmash of artists, is like a chaotic jumble sale of musical styles and genres. From the ethereal folk melodies of Owen the Owl to the grime-infused beats of MC Hoot, this album has more twists and turns than a rollercoaster at Alton Towers. But somehow, amidst all this musical madness, there is a strange sense of cohesion. Maybe it's the soothing presence of Owen the Owl guiding us through this sonic adventure, or maybe it's just the sheer talent of the artists involved. Whatever it is, Owenin manages to keep us hooked from start to finish. Highlights include the hauntingly beautiful track "Hoot Hoot Hallelujah" by the mysterious artist Owliver Twist, as well as the infectiously catchy "Fly Away" by the enigmatic duo The Night Owls. But it's not all smooth sailing - tracks like "Owl Be There For You" by the cheeky duo The Hootenannies fall flat, leaving us scratching our heads in confusion. Overall, Owenin is a wild ride of an album that will have you laughing, crying, and dancing in your living room. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for those willing to take a chance on something a bit out of the ordinary, this album is a hoot and a half.
