Our Take

EUROPE's "Out Of This World" is a delightful train wreck of an album that manages to simultaneously dazzle and baffle listeners at every turn. The band's blend of power ballads and hair metal anthems maneuvers through the clichés with such audacity that you can't help but be entertained.

Lead vocalist Joey Tempest delivers his lyrics with a bombastic flair that borders on parody, while guitarist John Norum shreds with the passion of a man possessed by the ghost of Eddie Van Halen. The result is a cacophony of cheese that is so deliciously over-the-top, you can't help but want to sing along.

Tracks like "Superstitious" and "Let The Good Times Rock" exemplify EUROPE's knack for crafting infectious hooks that will have you tapping your foot and air-guitaring with reckless abandon. And let's not forget the epic power ballad "Tomorrow," a perfect blend of heart-wrenching emotion and over-the-top theatrics.

Sure, EUROPE may not be the most groundbreaking band in the world, but "Out Of This World" proves that sometimes you just need a healthy dose of nostalgia and a whole lot of hair spray to have a good time. So crank up the volume, grab your air guitar, and get ready to be transported back to a time when big hair and power chords ruled the airwaves. Eurovision, eat your heart out.
