Italian death metal outfit Hate Profile have returned with their latest offering, Opus II: The Soul Proceeds. And proceed it does, with a cacophony of relentless riffs and guttural growls that would make even the most seasoned headbanger break a sweat.
From the opening track, "Soulless Terminus," to the punishing closer, "Misanthropic Essence," Hate Profile doesn't hold anything back. The band's ferocious energy is palpable throughout the album, leaving listeners no choice but to surrender to the sheer brutality of it all.
Despite the album's aggressive nature, there is a surprising amount of nuance to be found in the songwriting. Tracks like "Echoes of Desolation" and "Tears of the Emptiness" showcase the band's ability to weave melody and complexity into their crushing sound.
