Our Take
Delta Spirit has always been a band that defies conventional labels and genres, and their latest album "One Is One" is no exception. From the opening track, it's clear that this is a band unafraid to take risks and push boundaries. Lead singer Matthew Vasquez's raw, soulful vocals are front and center, cutting through the mix like a knife through butter. The band's trademark blend of Americana, indie rock, and blues is on full display here, with each track offering something new and unexpected. Standout tracks include the rollicking "How Bout It", the hauntingly beautiful "Young Man", and the anthemic "Home Again". The album as a whole is a rollercoaster of emotions, with highs and lows that will leave you breathless. One criticism I have is that the album can sometimes feel a bit disjointed, with tracks jumping from one style to another without much transition.
