Our Take
Our Take
Ah, LES ANGES GARDIENS. Once in a blue moon, an album comes along that makes you question everything you thought you knew about music. And let me tell you, this is not that album.
From the very first track, "Once Upon A Time," it's clear that LES ANGES GARDIENS are not ones to shy away from big, bold, and bombastic sounds. The swirling guitars, pounding drums, and soaring vocals all come together to create a sonic experience that is equal parts exhilarating and exhausting.
But don't get me wrong, there are moments of brilliance on this album. Tracks like "Guardian Angels" and "Heavenly Harmonies" showcase the band's ability to craft catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics that will stick with you long after the final notes have faded away.
However, for every moment of triumph, there are just as many missteps. The overblown production, cliched lyrics, and lack of originality all conspire to drag this album down into the depths of mediocrity.
In the end, LES ANGES GARDIENS' Once Upon A Time is a mixed bag. While there are certainly moments of inspiration, they are ultimately overshadowed by the album's numerous flaws. But hey, at least it's not another generic indie rock record, right?
Final verdict: 5.7 out of 10. Could do better, but there's potential here.
