Our Take

TYPESETTER's latest offering, "Nothing Blues," is like a burst of sunshine on a rainy day. The Chicago-based band takes listeners on a nostalgic journey through the sounds of 90s alternative rock, with a modern twist that keeps things fresh and interesting.

From the opening track, "Monogamy I," to the infectious energy of "A Memory," TYPESETTER delivers catchy hooks and powerhouse vocals that will have you tapping your foot and singing along in no time. The band's tight musicianship and clever lyrics make this album a standout in a sea of mediocrity.

But what really sets "Nothing Blues" apart is the yellow vinyl pressing it comes on. This limited edition release is as vibrant and eye-catching as the music itself, adding an extra layer of coolness to an already impressive package.

Overall, "Nothing Blues" is a gem of an album that deserves a spot in your vinyl collection. TYPESETTER has proven once again that they are a force to be reckoned with in the indie rock scene. So grab a copy, put it on your turntable, and let the good times roll.

About the artist

Typesetter

Hailing from the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois, TYPESETTER has been making waves in the punk rock scene with their catchy hooks and electrifying live performances. Formed in 2015, this dynamic four-piece band has quickly garnered a loyal following thanks to their infectious blend of pop-punk melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Led by frontman Daniel "Danny" Lewis, TYPESETTER draws inspiration from the likes of The Get Up Kids and Saves The Day, but puts their own unique twist on the genre with their raw energy and unapologetic attitude. With Lewis on vocals and guitar, Marc Atkins on bass, Matt Gonzales on guitar, and Ryan Bollis on drums, this tight-knit group delivers a high-octane performance that is sure to get any crowd jumping. Their debut album "Wild's End" was released in 2015 to critical acclaim, with Pitchfork praising the band's "explosive energy" and "memorable hooks". Since then, TYPESETTER has gone on to release several EPs and singles, further solidifying their place in the punk rock pantheon. But it's not just their music that sets TYPESETTER apart - it's their larger-than-life personalities and quirky sense of humour that truly make them stand out. Whether they're cracking jokes on stage or goofing around backstage, this band knows how to have a good time and isn't afraid to show it. So if you're looking for a band that will make you dance, laugh, and maybe even shed a tear or two, look no further than TYPESETTER. These boys may be wild at heart, but their music is pure magic.
