Bootsy Collins, the funk legend with a bassline that could make your granny start breakdancing, brought the heat to the North Sea Jazz Festival in 1998. From the moment he stepped on stage, the crowd knew they were in for a wild ride.

With his signature star-shaped glasses and outrageous outfits, Bootsy oozed charisma and style, effortlessly commanding the attention of everyone in the audience. The man is a true showman, a funk maestro, and an absolute madman on the bass.

The setlist was a funky rollercoaster of hits, from the classic "I'd Rather Be With You" to the groovy "Stretchin' Out (In a Rubber Band)". Each song was a masterclass in how to get a crowd moving and grooving, with Bootsy's infectious energy infecting everyone in the room.

The band behind Bootsy was tight, locked in, and clearly having the time of their lives. The chemistry between them was electric, with each member bringing their own flair and personality to the performance. The solos were on fire, the grooves were unstoppable, and the energy was through the roof.
