Our Take

Gregory Isaacs, the reggae legend known for his smooth vocals and effortless charm, is back with a reissue of his classic album "No Luck" on vibrant orange translucent vinyl. It's bold, it's fancy, and it certainly demands attention.

From the moment the needle hits the record, Isaacs' soulful crooning transports you to a tropical paradise where worries melt away like ice cream on a hot summer day. The grooves on this album are as silky smooth as Isaacs' voice, with each track flowing seamlessly into the next like a lazy river winding through lush greenery.

Songs like "Mr. Know It All" and "Too Late" showcase Isaacs' ability to blend melancholy and groove in a way that only he can. The instrumentation is top-notch, with reggae rhythms that will have you swaying and skanking in no time.

But it's not all sunshine and rainbows on "No Luck." Isaacs delves into themes of heartbreak and betrayal with a raw honesty that will tug at your heartstrings. Tracks like "Motherless Children" and "No Forgiveness" hit hard with their poignant lyrics and emotive delivery.

Overall, "No Luck" is a must-have for any reggae fan looking to add a touch of class to their vinyl collection. Gregory Isaacs may have no luck, but listeners are certainly lucky to have this gem of an album in their hands.
