Our Take
Alright, hold on to your knickers, folks, because we've got a real doozy of an album on our hands with Various Artists' "New Guitars in Town." This compilation is a hot mess of eclectic styles, ranging from indie rock to jazz fusion to straight up experimental noise. But hey, we love a good challenge, right? First up, we've got some seriously mind-bending guitar work from the likes of Johnny "Fingers" McShred and Sally "Six Strings" Jones. These two are like a dueling banjos on steroids, trading licks and riffs with the precision of a Swiss watch. It's like listening to a shred-off between Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix, with a touch of Django Reinhardt thrown in for good measure.
