Ah, Saxon, the granddaddies of British heavy metal. With their new album "More Inspirations," they continue to show that age is just a number when it comes to rocking out.
From the moment the opening track kicks in, you can feel the power of the music coursing through your veins. The guitars are as crunchy as a bag of walkers crisps, and Biff Byford's vocals are as smooth as a pint of warm ale.
The band's influences are proudly on display here, with nods to everyone from Black Sabbath to Judas Priest. But don't think for a second that Saxon are just copying their heroes - they put their own unique spin on each song, making them sound fresh and exciting.
Standout tracks include "Metal Monster," a headbanging anthem that will have you throwing up the horns in no time, and "Dragon's Den," a epic ballad that showcases Byford's vocal prowess.
