Bobby Boris Pickett, the man, the myth, the monster mash master. This quirky American singer-songwriter became an overnight sensation in 1962 with his Halloween classic "Monster Mash". But there's more to this musical maverick than just a graveyard smash. Pickett's career began in the 1950s with a doo-wop group called The Cordials, but it wasn't until he joined forces with fellow actor and musician Lenny Capizzi that he struck gold. The duo penned "Monster Mash" as a parody of the dance crazes of the time, and little did they know it would become a timeless Halloween anthem. Known for his expressive vocals and spooky persona, Pickett was a true showman both on and off stage. His infectious energy and love for all things ghoulish captivated audiences worldwide, earning him a dedicated fanbase that transcended generations.
