Ah, RIVER VALLEY WORSHIP's "Million Lifetimes" - an album that feels like a million lifetimes, and not necessarily in a good way. This Christian rock band takes us on a journey through faith and devotion, but unfortunately, it feels more like a never-ending river cruise than an exhilarating ride down the rapids. The album opens with "All This Time," a mildly catchy tune that sets the tone for what's to come - a series of generic worship songs that blend together like a never-ending church service. While the band's passion is evident, their lack of originality leaves much to be desired. Tracks like "Hope Has a Name" and "Chain Breaker" attempt to inject some energy into the album, but ultimately fall flat with their formulaic sound and uninspired lyrics.
