Our Take

Ah, ITALIA 90, the band that sounds like they've been living under a rock for the past 30 years and only just discovered the wonders of modern music. Their latest album "Living Human Treasure" is a bizarre mishmash of retro synth sounds, lo-fi production, and lyrics that make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

From the opening track "Pasta Party" to the closing ballad "Football's Coming Home (Again)", ITALIA 90 take us on a strange and sometimes uncomfortable journey through their warped minds. The lead singer's monotone delivery may be an intentional stylistic choice, but it just makes him sound like he couldn't be bothered to put any effort into his performance.

The standout track, if you can call it that, has to be "Mario Kart Madness", a cacophony of beeps, boops, and random samples that leaves you feeling like you've been transported into a glitchy video game from the 90s. It's both nostalgic and headache-inducing at the same time.

Overall, "Living Human Treasure" is an album that will leave you scratching your head and wondering what the hell you just listened to. ITALIA 90 may have a quirky charm, but their music is definitely an acquired taste. Approach with caution, and maybe a stiff drink or two.
