Our Take

Depeche Mode are like that weird uncle at family gatherings who always has a little too much to drink but still manages to steal the show with their charm and questionable dance moves. And on their latest release, "Live Spirits Soundtrack," they do just that.

Recorded during their 2018 concert in Berlin, this album captures the band at their best - energetic, enigmatic, and slightly unhinged. From the moment they kick off with the pulsating "Going Backwards," you know you're in for a wild ride.

The production is slick, the crowd is electric, and frontman Dave Gahan's vocals are as brooding and seductive as ever. Tracks like "Enjoy the Silence" and "Personal Jesus" are given new life in the live setting, with added layers of intensity and urgency that only a Depeche Mode show can deliver.
