Album Review: Crawler Live Snakes If you're looking for an album that will make you feel like you've been transported back to the gritty, sweat-soaked rock clubs of the 70s, then Crawler Live Snakes is the record for you. This live recording captures the raw energy and undeniable swagger of the band as they tear through their set with reckless abandon. From the opening track, "Ssssssslide Away," the band grabs you by the ears and doesn't let go until the final notes of "Snake in the Grass" fade away. Frontman Mick "The Python" Davies delivers his lyrics with a gravelly growl that is equal parts menacing and intoxicating, while the rest of the band lays down a tight groove that will have you nodding your head and tapping your foot uncontrollably. Highlights include the infectious guitar riffs on "Slithering Blues" and the frenetic drumming on "Venomous Shuffle."
