Our Take

FALL Live At Moho Manchester 2009 is a delightful, chaotic mess of a live album that captures the essence of one of the UK's most legendary bands in their element. From the moment Mark E. Smith stumbles onto the stage with a pint in hand, you know you're in for a wild ride.

The setlist is a mix of fan favourites and deep cuts, with classics like "Totally Wired" and "Touch Sensitive" sending the crowd into a frenzy. Smith's trademark snarl is as sharp as ever, cutting through the cacophony of guitars and drums like a rusty knife.

But it's not just Smith's performance that makes this album special. The rest of the band is on fire, with the twin guitar attack of Elena Poulou and Pete Greenway driving the songs forward with a ferocity that can only come from years of playing together.

Despite a few moments of drunken rambling from Smith, the band never misses a beat, powering through the set with a reckless abandon that is both thrilling and terrifying. By the time they reach the epic closer "Blindness," you'll be drenched in sweat and begging for more.
