Our Take
Ah, Foo Fighters, the perennial darlings of the rock scene, graced Toronto with their presence on April 3, 1996, and let me tell you, it was a night to remember. From the moment frontman Dave Grohl stepped on stage, microphone in hand and that infectious smile on his face, the crowd knew they were in for a rock'n'roll rollercoaster. The band kicked off the show with the explosive energy of "This Is a Call," sending the audience into a frenzy of headbanging and fist-pumping. Grohl's charismatic presence and undeniable talent shone through each and every song, as he shredded on the guitar and belted out those iconic lyrics with passion and fervour. Tracks like "Big Me" and "I'll Stick Around" had the whole venue singing along at the top of their lungs, while the more introspective moments of "For All the Cows" and "Exhausted" allowed for a brief pause to catch our breath before diving back into the chaos. But it was during the encore that Foo Fighters truly cemented their status as rock gods, delivering an epic performance of "Everlong" that left no doubt in anyone's mind that they were witnessing greatness.
