Our Take
Venom Live from the Hammersmith Odeon is a blistering display of heavy metal madness that will have even the most seasoned headbangers reaching for their air guitars. From the moment the iconic intro riff of "Welcome to Hell" kicks in, you know you're in for a hell-raising ride through the dark and frenzied world of Venom. Frontman Cronos commands the stage with his menacing presence, delivering growling vocals that would make even the devil himself shiver. The guitar work is equally impressive, with Mantas unleashing a storm of riffs that will leave your ears ringing for days. Tracks like "Black Metal" and "In League with Satan" are delivered with all the raw energy and intensity you would expect from one of the pioneers of the genre. But it's not all doom and gloom - Venom also show their more melodic side with the haunting "At War with Satan" and the anthemic "Witching Hour". The sound quality may not be perfect, but that only adds to the gritty and raw charm of this live recording.
