11 tracks of pure sonic shenanigans, INCUBUS Light Grenades explodes onto the scene like a musical firework display. Drenched in the signature angst and melodrama that we've come to expect from these Cali rockers, this album is a veritable mixed bag of genres and emotions.
Lead singer Brandon Boyd's vocals soar and swirl like a demented albatross on tracks like "Anna Molly" and "Dig", while tracks such as "Love Hurts" and "Oil and Water" offer a more introspective and brooding tone. The guitar work is tight and razor-sharp, courtesy of Mike Einziger, who manages to inject a healthy dose of funk and groove into the mix.
