The latest offering from legendary Canadian metalheads Anvil, "Legal At Last," is a wild ride through the world of heavy riffs and even heavier lyrics.
From the opening track "Nabbed in Nebraska" to the closing anthem "Sins of a Shark," Anvil showcases their trademark blend of thrash and good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Lips absolutely shreds on tracks like "Gasoline" and "Plastic in Paradise," while drummer Robb Reiner keeps the pace frantic and furious throughout.
Lyrically, the album doesn't hold back, tackling everything from environmental issues to societal injustices with a healthy dose of humour and self-awareness.
Standout tracks include the headbanging "Food for the Vulture" and the surprisingly catchy "I'm Alive."
While "Legal At Last" may not reinvent the wheel of heavy metal, it's a solid addition to Anvil's already impressive discography.
