Our Take

The La Roque D'Antheron music festival in 2018 was kind of like a musical buffet - a little something for everyone. And when it came to the piano, Boris Berezovsky, Adam Laloum, Anne Queffelec, and Yulianna Avdeeva served up a feast fit for a king (or queen, we don't discriminate here).

Berezovsky kicked things off with his dynamic and technically flawless performance, showcasing why he's one of the most celebrated pianists of our time. Laloum brought a different flavour to the table, with his introspective and emotive playing pulling at the heartstrings of everyone in the audience.

Queffelec added a touch of elegance and grace to the mix, her exquisite phrasing and delicate touch painting a picture of musical sophistication. And then there was Avdeeva, who brought the house down with her powerhouse performance, proving once and for all that she's a force to be reckoned with in the world of classical music.

Together, these four pianists created a magical evening of music that left everyone in attendance in awe. So if you missed out on La Roque D'Antheron in 2018, just know that you missed out on something truly special. But hey, there's always next year, right? Well, maybe not, but a music lover can dream.
