Elvis Costello has always been a master of reinvention, and his latest offering, "La Face De Pendule A Coucou," is no exception. This EP, pressed on neon coral vinyl for that extra pop of pizazz, showcases Costello at his most eclectic and experimental.
From the moment the needle drops on the title track, it's clear that Costello is not content to rest on his laurels. The jangly guitars and off-kilter rhythms create a sense of urgency that is both exhilarating and disorienting. Costello's signature wit and wordplay are on full display here, with lyrics that veer from absurd to profound in the blink of an eye.
