If Pitchfork had a love child with Monty Python, it would give birth to our review of the original soundtrack for Juuni Taisen, the wackiest battle royale anime you never knew you needed in your life.

From the flamenco-inspired opening track, "Warriors of the Zodiac," to the electro-pop-infused "Battle of the Beasts," this album is a rollercoaster of musical genres that shouldn't work together, but somehow do with a slapstick charm that is undeniably infectious.

Tracks like "Monkey Magic (Banana Boogie)" and "Rabbit Rampage" will have you simultaneously headbanging and laughing as you envision the zodiac animals duking it out in a hilarious yet epic showdown for ultimate supremacy.

But it's not all fun and games. The hauntingly beautiful "Cancer's Lament" and the melancholic "Scorpio's Revenge" add a touch of emotional depth to the otherwise whimsical soundtrack, reminding us that even in the midst of chaos, there is beauty to be found.
