Our Take

Andy McCoy, the Finnish rock legend and former Hanoi Rocks guitarist, is back with his latest solo effort, "Jukebox Junkie." The orange marble vinyl edition adds a touch of retro glam to this already kitschy record.

From the first notes of the title track, McCoy transports us back to the heyday of sleazy dive bars and leather-clad rockers. His signature guitar licks are as sharp as ever, cutting through the fuzz of nostalgia and landing squarely in the present.

The standout track, "Too Far Gone," is a raucous anthem that perfectly encapsulates McCoy's devil-may-care attitude. With lyrics like "I'm a jukebox junkie, never gonna quit," it's clear that McCoy is here to stay and rock the house down.

The production on "Jukebox Junkie" is slick and polished, but still retains that raw edge that made Hanoi Rocks a household name. McCoy's vocals are gravelly and full of emotion, while the backing band provides a solid foundation for his explosive guitar solos.

Overall, "Jukebox Junkie" is a rollicking good time that is sure to please fans of classic rock and new listeners alike. So grab a cold one, drop the needle on this orange marvel of vinyl, and let Andy McCoy take you on a wild ride through the wild side of rock 'n' roll. Who said jukeboxes were just for oldies?
