Our Take

Flauguissimo – can we just take a moment to appreciate that name? Sounds like a mix between a flamenco guitar and a deliciously fruity cocktail. But there's nothing fruity about the music on Johan Helmich Roman: To The Northern Star. This album is a classy affair, with Yu-Wei Hu, Johan Lofving, Magdalena Loth-Hill, Emily Atkinson, and Henrik Persson delivering some seriously impressive chamber works for flute.
