Our Take

As I popped this gem of a live session into my tape deck (yes, I still use those), I couldn't help but feel a rush of nostalgia for the good old days of the late 80s. The Soup Dragons are no strangers to me, but this Janice Long Session on June 30th, 1987, really showcases their raw talent and infectious energy.

From the moment the first guitar riff kicked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The band wasted no time in getting the crowd grooving with their unique blend of indie rock and psychedelic vibes. The lead singer's vocals were on point, hitting every note with precision and passion.

Tracks like "Majestic Head" and "Lord Shiva" had me bopping my head and tapping my feet uncontrollably. The band's chemistry was palpable, with each member feeding off the other's energy and creating a musical synergy that is rare to find.

The standout moment for me was their performance of "Hang Ten!" which had me feeling like I was riding the waves in California with a surfboard under my feet. The infectious melodies and catchy hooks had me singing along in no time.

Overall, the Soup Dragons Janice Long Session on June 30th, 1987, is a testament to the band's talent and charisma. If you're looking for a dose of 80s nostalgia with a modern twist, look no further than this incredible live session. Five stars from me, no doubt.
