Our Take
Half Hearted Hero's latest offering, "Isn't Real," is a rollercoaster ride of emotion and energy. The band expertly blends pop-punk sensibilities with melodic hardcore influences, creating a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh. The opening track, "Daydreams," sets the tone for the album with its catchy hooks and driving rhythm. Lead vocalist AJ Mills showcases his dynamic range, effortlessly switching between melodic crooning and aggressive screams. Tracks like "Celebrate" and "Downpour" showcase the band's ability to craft infectious melodies while still staying true to their punk roots.
