Our Take
Our Take
Lost Society's latest offering, "If The Sky Came Down," is like a psychedelic trip through a neon-lit carnival. The Finnish thrash metal band takes listeners on a wild ride with their high-energy riffs and relentless drumming.
From the moment the needle drops on the transparent orange vinyl, you know you're in for a wild ride. The opening track, "Lost in Wonderland," sets the tone for the album with its blistering guitar solos and head-banging chorus.
But it's not all thrash metal fury on this record. Tracks like "Reflections of a Broken Mind" and "Silent Angel" showcase the band's melodic side, with soaring vocals and intricate guitar work. It's a nice break from the chaos, like finding a moment of calm in the eye of a storm.
The production on this album is top-notch, with each instrument shining through in the mix. The bass rumbles like thunder, the drums crack like lightning, and the guitars slice through the air like a knife.
Overall, "If The Sky Came Down" is a testament to Lost Society's talent and versatility. Whether you're a hardcore thrash metal fan or just looking for something new to sink your teeth into, this album is sure to satisfy. So grab a pint of your favourite ale, crank up the volume, and let Lost Society take you on a wild ride through the neon-lit carnival of their music. Cheers!

About the artist
Lost Society
LOST SOCIETY are the Finnish thrash metal prodigies who have been tearing up stages across Europe with their intense, high-energy performances. Formed in 2010 when they were barely out of their teens, the band quickly found themselves at the forefront of the thrash metal revival, drawing comparisons to legends like Slayer and Anthrax. With their blistering riffs, lightning-fast solos, and guttural vocals, LOST SOCIETY have been winning over metalheads and critics alike with their raw and unrelenting sound. Their debut album, "Fast Loud Death," released in 2013, cemented their reputation as one of the most exciting young bands in the genre. But don't let their youth fool you – these guys are serious musicians with serious chops. Lead guitarist Samy Elbanna shreds with the best of them, while bassist Mirko Lehtinen and drummer Ossi Paananen provide a tight and thunderous rhythm section that drives the band's ferocious sound. Their latest album, "No Absolution," released in 2020, sees LOST SOCIETY continuing to push the boundaries of thrash metal, incorporating elements of punk and hardcore to create a sound that is uniquely their own. Tracks like "Blinded by the Light" and "Deliver Me" showcase the band's technical prowess and songwriting abilities, while still delivering the face-melting intensity that fans have come to expect. Whether you're a die-hard thrash metal fan or just looking to get your face melted off by some killer riffs, LOST SOCIETY are a band that you need to have on your radar. Keep an eye on these Finnish firestarters – they're only just getting started.
