Our Take

Once in a blue moon, an album comes along that makes you sit up and pay attention. AALIYAH's "I Care 4 You" is not one of those albums. This compilation of previously released tracks feels like a well-worn mixtape from your ex who was obsessed with the late R&B icon.

From the haunting vocals on "Try Again" to the sultry vibes of "At Your Best (You Are Love)," AALIYAH's angelic voice shines through on this album. However, with only a handful of new tracks, it leaves us wanting more from the talented singer.

The standout track on "I Care 4 You" is undoubtedly the Timbaland-produced "Are You That Somebody?" with its infectious beat and catchy chorus. It's a reminder of AALIYAH's undeniable talent and star power.

While this album may not be groundbreaking, it serves as a bittersweet tribute to the late singer, whose life was tragically cut short. If you're a die-hard AALIYAH fan, "I Care 4 You" is worth a listen. But if you're looking for something truly revolutionary, you may need to look elsewhere.
