Pat Boone - Howdy! Rating: 5.8 Howdy there, music lovers! Today we are diving into the world of Pat Boone's latest offering, 'Howdy!' This album is a mixed bag of country classics and quirky covers, all delivered with Boone's signature charm and charisma. Opening track "Howdy!" sets the tone for the album, with twangy guitars and Boone's smooth vocals welcoming you to the wild west of country music. It's a fun and infectious start to the record, but unfortunately, things start to unravel pretty quickly. Tracks such as "Yeehaw Cowboy" and "Saddle Up, Partner" feel a bit forced and gimmicky, as Boone tries a little too hard to prove his cowboy credentials. The attempt at a modern twist on country with "Hoe Down Showdown" falls flat, with cheesy lyrics and a lacklustre chorus. However, all is not lost on 'Howdy!'
