Ah, House of Lords, the 80s hair metal band we never knew we needed. Their self-titled debut album is a delightful romp through cheesy lyrics, soaring guitars, and big, big hair.
From the opening track "Pleasure Palace," you know you're in for a wild ride. The band's signature blend of bombastic vocals and shredding guitar solos is on full display here, and it's impossible not to get swept up in the sheer exuberance of it all.
But it's not all fun and games. Tracks like "I Wanna Be Loved" and "Love Don't Lie" show a softer, more introspective side to the band, proving that there's more to House of Lords than just leather pants and hairspray.
The real standout here, though, is "Edge of Your Life." With its haunting piano intro and gut-wrenching vocals, it's a power ballad for the ages, and a reminder that even in the midst of all the excess, House of Lords had some serious musical chops.
