Our Take

W.A.S.P. Helldorado Review:

From the depths of rock 'n' roll hell comes W.A.S.P.'s latest offering, Helldorado. This album is a wild ride through leather, motorcycles, and pure unadulterated rock 'n' roll debauchery. Frontman Blackie Lawless leads the charge with his signature growls and screams, proving that age has only made him more menacing.

The opening track, "Drive By," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its roaring guitars and pounding drums. It's the perfect soundtrack for your next motorcycle ride through the desert at sunset. "Helldorado" is a standout track, with its catchy chorus and infectious energy. You can't help but headbang along with Lawless as he croons about life on the road.

However, not every track on Helldorado hits the mark. "Dirty Balls" feels like a misstep, with its cringe-worthy lyrics and lacklustre instrumentation. And "High on the Flames" falls flat, failing to capture the raw intensity of the rest of the album.

Overall, W.A.S.P. delivers a solid addition to their discography with Helldorado. It may not be their strongest album, but it's still a fun, raucous ride that any metalhead will enjoy. So crank up the volume, grab a beer, and let W.A.S.P. take you on a journey to the dark side of rock 'n' roll.
