Our Take
Our Take
Ah, Senses Fail, the band that never fails to bring the angst-ridden emo vibes straight to our eardrums. With their latest release, "Hell Is In Your Head," they continue to serve up the raw, emotional punch that we all know and love.
The pink vinyl edition adds a touch of whimsy to the darkness of their sound, while the white/heavy white splatter vinyl is a visual feast for the eyes. It's like a midnight rave in vinyl form.
Lead vocalist Buddy Nielsen's haunting vocals cut through the cacophony of guitars and drums like a knife through butter, leaving us with a sense of unease and longing. Tracks like "Wounds" and "New Heaven" hit you right in the feels, while "Death by Water" and "Haunted" will have you headbanging like there's no tomorrow.
Although Senses Fail may not be reinventing the wheel with this album, they are certainly reminding us why they've been a staple in the emo scene for over a decade. So go ahead, grab a copy of this Ten Band One Cause release, pour yourself a glass of wine, and let the melancholic melodies wash over you like a warm embrace from an old friend. You won't regret it.

About the artist
Senses Fail
SENSES FAIL are the antithesis of subtlety. Hailing from New Jersey, these post-hardcore trailblazers have been roaring and soaring since 2002, leaving a trail of broken eardrums and melted faces in their wake. Led by the enigmatic frontman Buddy Nielsen, SENSES FAIL have established themselves as stalwarts of the emo and screamo scenes, delivering angst-fuelled anthems with a fervour that would make even the most hardened cynic shed a tear. With a sound that is equal parts chaotic and cathartic, SENSES FAIL have carved out a niche for themselves in the crowded landscape of punk rock. Their music is a sonic assault on the senses, with frenzied guitars, thundering drums, and Nielsen's impassioned vocals colliding in a maelstrom of emotion and energy. It's a rollercoaster ride of raw emotion and unbridled intensity, leaving listeners exhilarated and exhausted in equal measure. But don't let their intense sound fool you - SENSES FAIL have a sharp wit and a playful sense of humour that shines through in their lyrics and live performances. From the sardonic social commentary of "Can't Be Saved" to the tongue-in-cheek self-deprecation of "Buried a Lie," the band infuses their music with a dose of irreverence that sets them apart from their peers. So buckle up, dear reader, and prepare to be swept away by the sonic tsunami that is SENSES FAIL. With their unapologetically loud and proud approach to music, this band is not for the faint of heart. But for those brave enough to dive headfirst into the mosh pit of emotion and energy that is SENSES FAIL, the rewards are sure to be plentiful.
