Our Take

Per Wiberg, the man with the golden touch (and luscious locks), has once again graced us mere mortals with his latest solo effort, "Head Without Eyes." For those unfamiliar with Wiberg's work outside of the realms of Candlemass and Opeth, this album is a delightful dip into the psychedelic pool of his musical mind.

From the opening track, "All is Well in the Land of the Living, But for the Rest of Us... Lights Out," Wiberg transports listeners to a world where prog-rock and doom metal collide in a cosmic dance of sonic wizardry. The ethereal vocals and haunting melodies are reminiscent of an otherworldly séance, inviting you to lose yourself in the swirling soundscapes he has created.

Tracks like "It Takes You" and "The Pure and the Damned" showcase Wiberg's masterful skill at crafting intricate, yet accessible, compositions that hook you in from the first note. Each song is a journey in itself, with unexpected twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat (or in this case, your beanbag chair).

"Head Without Eyes" is a testament to Wiberg's versatility as a musician and his ability to seamlessly blend genres with effortless finesse. So grab your favourite glass of red, spark up some incense, and let Per Wiberg take you on a mind-bending trip through the cosmos. Trust us, you won't regret it.
