Ah, METALLICA. The band that knows how to turn it up to 11 and never look back. Their latest offering, 'Hardwired To Self-Destruct', is a rollercoaster of thrash metal madness that will leave you headbanging so hard, you'll need a neck brace by the end of it. The Deluxe Edition is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get, but you can bet it's gonna be heavy. With three discs chock full of face-melting riffage, pounding drums, and James Hetfield's signature growl, this album is a feast for the senses. From the thundering opener "Hardwired" to the epic ballad "Halo On Fire", METALLICA proves they can still kick ass after all these years. And let's not forget their cover of Diamond Head's "Am I Evil?" - a true homage to their roots in the thrash metal scene. But alas, even legends like METALLICA have their missteps. The overindulgent solos on tracks like "Confusion" may leave some listeners reaching for the skip button.
