Andrius Puskunigis, Vincent Bernhardt, and the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra team up to tackle Handel's Oboe Concertos in a delightful and whimsical new album that is sure to tickle your fancy. Puskunigis' oboe playing is nothing short of divine, with each note floating effortlessly through the air like a butterfly on a summer's day. Bernhardt's conducting provides the perfect balance of control and freedom, guiding the orchestra with a deft hand that allows each musician to shine in their own right.
From the moment the first notes of Concerto No. 1 in B-flat major grace your ears, you know you're in for a treat. The Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra's playing is crisp and clean, with a sense of joy and camaraderie that is infectious. As the album progresses, each concerto unfolds like a beautiful flower, with Puskunigis' oboe leading the way with grace and elegance.
