Our Take
Well, well, well, what do we have here? Tears for Fears, live at the legendary Hammersmith Odeon in London back in 1983. Talk about a blast from the past! This album oozes with all the synth-pop glory and new wave vibes that we have come to expect from this iconic duo. From the moment the ethereal sounds of "Shout" filled the air, I knew we were in for a treat. Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith's vocals were as mesmerising as ever, effortlessly gliding through hits like "Mad World" and "Change." The energy in the room was palpable, with the crowd hanging onto every word and note. But what really elevated this performance was the band's undeniable chemistry on stage. Their seamless transitions between songs and playful banter with the audience kept the momentum going strong throughout the entire set. It was like watching two old friends jamming out in their garage, except with thousands of adoring fans cheering them on. By the time they closed out the show with an epic rendition of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," I was left feeling both nostalgic and invigorated. Tears for Fears may have been a product of the '80s, but their music is timeless.
