Our Take

DUO LATERZA's latest offering is a musical mishmash that is as head-scratching as it is toe-tapping. Bandiera, Laterza, and Bandieri have teamed up to take on Grieg & Prokofiev's Violin Sonatas, as well as Faure's Fantaisie Op.79, all arranged for saxophone. It's a bold move, that's for sure.

The album kicks off with Grieg's Violin Sonata No. 3 in C minor, featuring Bandiera on saxophone delivering an electrifying performance. Laterza's accompaniment on piano adds a layer of depth to the piece, creating a sonic landscape that is both haunting and exhilarating.
