Our Take

Gather 'round, music lovers, for a trip down memory lane with DR. FEELGOOD's greatest hits album. This collection is a whirlwind tour through the band's iconic career, capturing the essence of their unique blend of rhythm and blues with a touch of punk attitude.

From the infectious energy of "Roxette" to the gritty storytelling of "Back in the Night," each track on this album is like a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart. The band's signature sound is as sharp and swaggering as ever, making it impossible not to tap your feet and nod your head along to the infectious grooves.

About the artist

Dr. Feelgood

Hailing from Canvey Island, Essex, Dr. Feelgood burst onto the music scene in the 1970s with their raw, energetic brand of rhythm and blues. Led by the charismatic frontman Lee Brilleaux, the band quickly gained a reputation for their high-octane live shows and infectious tunes. With their signature sound, Dr. Feelgood became a staple of the pub rock scene, influencing countless bands and musicians along the way. Their debut album, "Down by the Jetty," captured the band at their best, showcasing their gritty, no-nonsense approach to music. Despite lineup changes and personal struggles, Dr. Feelgood continued to churn out hit after hit, proving themselves to be true survivors in the fickle world of rock 'n' roll. Tracks like "Roxette" and "Milk and Alcohol" became instant classics, solidifying the band's status as legends in the British music scene. But it was their electrifying live performances that truly set Dr. Feelgood apart from their peers. Brilleaux's larger-than-life stage presence, combined with the band's tight musicianship, created an experience like no other. Fans would leave their shows sweaty, exhausted, and utterly exhilarated, craving more of that Dr. Feelgood magic. Though Brilleaux may no longer be with us, his spirit lives on in the music of Dr. Feelgood. Their timeless tunes are a testament to the band's enduring legacy, proving that sometimes the best music comes from the most unexpected of places. So turn up the volume, grab a pint, and let Dr. Feelgood take you on a wild, unforgettable ride.
