Our Take

Let's have a chin wag about GRANT GREEN's jazzy little number, "Goodens Corner" (+3 Bonus Tracks). This cheeky little album is about as smooth as a cuppa tea on a rainy day in London. Green's guitar work is so sharp, you'll feel like you've been slapped upside the head with a wet kipper.

The title track, "Goodens Corner," is a proper toe-tapper with Green's fingers dancing across the fretboard like Fred Astaire on speed. The bonus tracks are a lovely surprise, like finding a tenner in your pocket after a night out down the pub. "Future Feature" is a real banger, with Green showing off his skills like a proper show-off at a Sunday roast.

But it's not all pints and bangers with this album. "Grant's Tune" and "Tune Down" show a more introspective side to Green, like he's sitting alone in a smoky pub with a pint of Guinness, pondering the meaning of life.

Overall, "Goodens Corner" is a right good listen for any music lover with a taste for the finer things in life. So put on your best clobber, pour yourself a G&T, and give this album a spin. You won't regret it, I promise you that. Cheers!
