Our Take
Johnny Winter's latest album "Good Love in San Diego" is a mixed bag of bluesy goodness and lacklustre moments. The Texas bluesman brings his signature fiery guitar playing and soulful vocals to the table, but unfortunately, the songs feel a bit stale and uninspired. The album kicks off with the gritty "Soulful Love," a track that showcases Winter's impressive guitar chops, but ultimately falls flat in terms of songwriting. "San Diego Shuffle" brings a much-needed dose of energy to the album, with its driving rhythm and infectious chorus.
