Ah, Faithful Breath. The German rockers that never quite hit the big time, but hey, at least they had fun trying, right?
Their latest album, Gold N Glory, is a nostalgic trip back to the '80s, complete with soaring guitar solos and cheesy lyrics that will make you cringe in the best possible way.
The opening track, "Back in the Sky," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its anthemic chorus and fist-pumping energy. It's the kind of song that makes you want to grab a beer, headbanging along with your mates in a sweaty dive bar.
But don't let the cliches fool you - Faithful Breath have some serious musical chops. Tracks like "Don't Feel Hate" showcase the band's tight musicianship and knack for catchy hooks.
Of course, there are moments where the cheese factor gets a bit too high, like on the power ballad "Heart of the City." But hey, it wouldn't be a Faithful Breath album without a few guilty pleasures thrown in.
