Our Take

Ah, EDGUY, the cheeky German power metal band that never takes themselves too seriously. Their latest release, "The Legacy", is a rollercoaster ride of epic guitar riffs, bombastic solos, and falsetto vocals that would make even Rob Halford proud.

From the opening track "Ravenblack" to the closing number "Wicked Symphony", EDGUY delivers a masterclass in over-the-top theatrics and unapologetic campiness. Lead vocalist Tobias Sammet's voice soars to unimaginable heights, while guitarist Jens Ludwig shreds with the precision of a surgical scalpel.

But what really sets "The Legacy" apart is its irreverent sense of humor. Tracks like "Mysteria" and "Fire on the Downline" are both ludicrously over-the-top and strangely endearing, like a cheesy B-movie that you can't help but love.

EDGUY may not be reinventing the wheel with "The Legacy", but they sure know how to have a good time. So grab your leather jacket, throw up the horns, and blast this album at full volume - because sometimes, you just need a little bit of ridiculousness in your life. And EDGUY delivers it in spades.
