Our Take

In true Bastille fashion, "Give Me The Future" is a whirlwind of catchy melodies and thought-provoking lyrics that will have you hitting repeat faster than you can say 'pompeii'. This album is like the musical equivalent of a rollercoaster, taking you on a journey through electronic beats, soaring vocals and infectious hooks that will have you dancing in your living room like no one is watching (except maybe your cat, who is judging you from the corner).

From the opening track "Electricity" to the hauntingly beautiful "Moments", Bastille showcases their ability to blend dark, brooding atmospheres with pop sensibilities in a way that only they can. Lead singer Dan Smith's distinctive vocals are on top form throughout, effortlessly switching between delicate falsettos and powerful belting that will give you goosebumps in all the right places.

While some may scoff at Bastille's unabashedly dramatic style, there's no denying the sheer talent and creativity that goes into each and every track on this album. So, grab your feathered cape, crack open a bottle of your finest red wine and let "Give Me The Future" transport you to a world where the only thing that matters is letting loose and enjoying the music. Trust us, you won't regret it.

About the artist

Bastille

BASTILLE It's easy to see why Bastille has taken the music world by storm with their infectious blend of indie pop and electronic beats. The brainchild of frontman Dan Smith, this London-based quartet have been making waves since their debut album "Bad Blood" dropped in 2013. Their music is a delightful mishmash of styles, from haunting ballads to foot-stomping anthems. You never quite know what to expect with Bastille, but one thing’s for sure – it'll be catchy as hell. Their live performances are a sight to behold, with Smith's charisma and energy captivating audiences around the world. But what really sets Bastille apart is their ability to tackle deep, introspective subjects in a way that feels relatable and honest. Tracks like "Pompeii" and "Good Grief" explore themes of loss and longing without ever losing their sense of fun and playfulness. Bastille are a breath of fresh air in a music industry that can sometimes feel a bit stale. They're not afraid to take risks, to push boundaries, and to have a good time doing it. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a casual listener, Bastille are sure to leave you wanting more. So next time you're looking for some new music to bop along to, give Bastille a listen. You won't be disappointed.
