Our Take
Once again, the fine folks at Soundway Records have blessed us with a sequel to their Ghana Special compilation, and let me tell you, Ghana Special 2 does not disappoint. This musical smorgasbord takes us on a journey through the rich and vibrant sounds of Ghana, showcasing a mix of highlife, Afrobeat, and Afro-funk that will have you grooving from start to finish. Kicking things off with the infectious rhythms of Ebo Taylor's "Heaven," we are immediately drawn into the hypnotic beats and soulful vocals that define the Ghanaian sound. From there, we are treated to a diverse array of tracks that showcase the talent and creativity of artists such as Oscar Sulley & The Uhuru Dance Band, Pat Thomas, and Marijata.
