Our Take

Altitudes & Attitude's latest release, "Get It Out", is a collision of musical genres that leaves listeners equal parts intrigued and confused. The brainchild of bassist legends David Ellefson (of Megadeth fame) and Frank Bello (of Anthrax), this album takes listeners on a rollercoaster ride of heavy metal riffs, melodic hooks, and surprisingly introspective lyrics.

From the opening track "Latenight", which kicks off with Ellefson's signature bass line, to the hauntingly beautiful "Part of Me", the album showcases the range and talent of these two seasoned musicians. The standout track, "Slip", is a headbanger's dream, with thunderous drums and roaring guitar solos that will have you banging your head in no time.

But it's not all about shredding guitars and pounding drums. Tracks like "Out Here" and "Leviathan" showcase a more introspective side to the duo, with vulnerable lyrics and stripped-down instrumentation that showcase their depth as songwriters. And let's not forget the infectious energy of "Here Again", a track that will have you singing along at the top of your lungs.

Overall, "Get It Out" is a wild ride that may leave some scratching their heads, but for those willing to strap in and enjoy the journey, it's a thrilling and rewarding experience. Altitudes & Attitude have truly outdone themselves with this album, showcasing their talent and creativity in a way that is both unexpected and utterly captivating. Verdict: 8.2

About the artist

Altitudes & Attitude

Altitudes & Attitude are the epitome of a musical odd couple. Featuring the unlikely pairing of Megadeth bassist David Ellefson and Anthrax bassist Frank Bello, this dynamic duo brings together two heavyweights of the metal world to create a sound that is as unique as it is infectious. With Ellefson's signature thunderous bass lines and Bello's aggressive, in-your-face playing, Altitudes & Attitude deliver a high-octane mix of thrash and hard rock that is bound to get your head banging and your blood pumping. The chemistry between these two seasoned musicians is undeniable, as they effortlessly trade off bass duties and vocals, creating a symbiotic energy that is truly captivating. Their debut album, self-titled "Altitudes & Attitude," is a tour de force of riff-driven anthems and adrenaline-fueled melodies. From the head-banging intensity of tracks like "Out Here" and "Late," to the introspective beauty of ballads like "Part of Me" and "Tell the World," this album showcases the range and versatility of these two metal legends. But what truly sets Altitudes & Attitude apart is their infectious sense of humor and their willingness to not take themselves too seriously. Whether they're poking fun at their own rock star personas or cracking jokes during interviews, Ellefson and Bello's playful attitude shines through in their music, creating a unique and engaging listening experience that is as entertaining as it is exhilarating. In a world where metal often takes itself too seriously, Altitudes & Attitude remind us that music should be fun and that sometimes, a little humor is all you need to rock out with your socks out. So crank up the volume, grab a beer, and get ready to experience the infectious energy of Altitudes & Attitude.
